Foundation courses
The following courses of study will be among those offered by the
minister of CMMS Deshae Lott Ministries Inc:
- THE MASTER TEACHER WITHIN -- Exploration and practice of 7
techniques of meditation and their potential benefits.
- TRANSFORMATION OF CONSCIOUSNESS -- Information on CMMS
founder Mary Saurer's view of the evolution of consciousness
process; alongside this we typically read Mary Saurer-Smith's
autobiography Windows of Life and Death.
- DEVELOPING A PRAYER CONSCIOUSNESS -- Exploration and
practice of various prayer dynamics.
- A NEW YOU, A NEW LIFE -- Presentation and practice of a
simple method for releasing any of your undesired and affirming
all of your desired beliefs, habits, thoughts, feelings, and
attitudes. It helps you discern what those are, too, when
needed. Taken earnestly and completely, the meetings serve as a
jump-start into new patterns or as a reinforcement of already
satisfying patterns of thinking, feeling, and living. The
process explored can deepen your sense of self and of Spirit,
help you cultivate management skills for a more balanced and
satisfying active lifestyle, and inspire you to pursue
purposeful endeavors (additional or familiar) in even more
rewarding ways. Available guidance and support can strengthen
your other efforts to make your life a true reflection of who
and what you are.
- WHAT JESUS TAUGHT -- Based upon reports in the Gospels,
especially those recorded in the Biblical books Matthew and
John, this course compares CMMS founder Mary Saurer-Smith's
interpretations of what Jesus taught to traditional modern
Christian beliefs.
- A COMPARISON OF WORLD RELIGIONS -- Presentation of the
answers a number of world-wide belief systems, ancient to
modern, offer to these main questions: who was the wisdom
teacher inspiring the founding of the religion? who was the
founder of this belief system as a religion, and how does the
religion relate to the teachings of the original teacher? is
there one God or many, according to this religion? what is God,
according to this religion? what is the nature of God, or the
many gods, according to this religion? what is the purpose for
life, according to this religion? what is the individual's
relationship to God? according to this religion, what is the
individual responsibility to God, if any? what is the individual
supposed to be doing in relation to all of the above? what is
the end result if one supports the stated responsibility,
according to this religion? what is the end result if one does
not support the stated responsibility, according to this
religion? what is the concept of soul, according to this
religion? what is the concept of an afterlife, or is there one,
according to this religion?
Other topics include the basic elements of toning; how divine law
works as compared to universal dynamics; the powers in intelligence,
the dynamics of thoughts and feelings, and the power of paradigms
(often via metaphysical explorations of myths, the Book of
Revelation, etc); and the spiritual philosophy of Keys Enlightenment including information on the two great laws and a
profile of spiritual mastery. Between series we also hold open
discussions on topics participants present and select.
Mary Saurer-Smith's works addressing many of these topics may be
